Wilbur Wright College

Wright is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Founded as a junior college, Wright now offers a comprehensive curriculum to credit students and adult education students, including vocational training.

In 1995, Wright opened the Humboldt Park Vocational Education Center, 1645 N. California Avenue. Humboldt Park serves as a job training and educational center for the Humboldt Park and West Town communities.

At Wright, students can learn in a friendly atmosphere from caring, experienced and knowledgeable faculty, most of whom hold master’s or doctoral degrees. The college’s name honors Wilbur Wright who, with his brother, Orville, designed and flew the first powered airplane in 1903, a feat that stretched the boundaries of aviation technology and catapulted the world into a new era of research and education. Wright College is learning-centered. Whatever your goals may be, Wright College is the place to launch your education.
