The internship involves a wide variety of administrative responsibilities such as data entry, maintaining confidential files, inventory control, event preparation, research, preparation of financial information, and distribution of mail. Among the specific tasks that have been assigned are: – Media monitoring. Requires entering media contacts into company intranet and preparing for monthly and quarterly reports. – Event preparation. This requires gathering the necessary supplies for registration, shipping publications and other items to convention, and preparing press kits. Preparation of financial inforamtion. This requires working with payment vouchers, calculating departmental expenses for postage and shipping, a file which contains donor checks/thank you letters for audit. |
